Their programme for 2013 will strengthen the Company's focus on history and culture with 16 cruises from March through to November 2013, including new interpretations of previous favourite itineraries, as well as some new destinations like Carcassonne, Palma, Barcelona, the island of Elba, Izmir and Jerusalem.

More time will be spent in ports to allow passengers the opportunity to enjoy the destinations; passengers sailing into or out of Venice on some itineraries will benefit from two nights on board Aegean Odyssey in this dazzling city. Whilst there, they will be treated to a private evening visit to St Mark’s Basilica and a special lecture series presented by members of the city’s oldest families.
"These special events are proving very popular - they also arrange private evening visits to Athens’ fascinating Museum of Cycladic Art and offer passengers the opportunity for a private visit to Palazzo Gangi in Palermo. Those people travelling with Voyages to Antiquity will experience a different side to the destinations they visit.
"Greece, Italy and Sicily continue to be popular as they offer a comprehensive way to visit all the major sites such as Athens and Pompeii as well as less well known places such as Delos, Herculaneum and Segesta. They have also added a second Black Sea cruise for 2013, due the popularity of the itinerary over the last two years," said David Yellow, Managing Director of Voyages to Antiquity.
