SAGA SAPPHIRE - ANNOUNCING - THE NEWEST JEWEL IN THE FLEET

Saga Cruises have announced the release of their third ship
SAGA SAPPHIRE
with new cruises for 2012 on sale from this week.
Previously named "Bleu de France", the ship originally entered service as Hapag Lloyd's "Europa" in 1981, but is now undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment to be christened "Saga Sapphire". A new deck of balcony staterooms will be added, along with a complete re-design of all public spaces including The Drawing Room and The Pier, which will have a British Seaside feel, with fish and chips and an ice-cream parlor. An open air cinema and hot tubs will also be added. And in a first for Saga Cruises, i-pads and onboard wi-fi will also be available.
At 37,301 tonnes, and carrying just 750 guests, Saga Sapphire will introduce a more contemporary and quirky feel to Saga's classic cruising experience. Saga is unique in providing travel exclusively for today’s over 50s. Over the years they have built a strong reputation for the quality of service they offer and their competitive pricing. Saga Sapphire will be a fresh and vibrant new addition to their current fleet which consists of Saga Ruby and Saga Pearl II.
Saga Sapphire will launch on her inaugural cruise on 26 March 2012, and will cruise varied itineraries throughout Europe, from homeports Dover and Southampton.
