NAGASAKI, JAPAN

Historically, the port city of Nagasaki has played a prominent role in Japanese foreign trade relations. Nestled on a large natural harbour surrounded by mountains, the picturesque night skyline rivals Hong Kong and can be most enjoyed from Mount Inasa. As the site of the second atomic bomb dropping, the city is now synonymous with World War II with the event memorialized at the Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park among others. In addition to monuments and memorials, this vibrant city has much to offer travellers including the colourful shrines and peaceful gardens.
